Toon Town album release

w/The Perfect Children, Wonky Tonk, Liam Hall

Toon Town is Alex Otto, Adam Stone & Sasha Suskind. The Three-piece Rock, Blues/Experimental Psych band hails from the awesome community of Northside, Cincinnati Ohio and are releasing their long awaited full length debut album, appropriately titled “Stay Lost”!! We’re gonna party down with some of our favorite local friends.

Soulful and gritty, intimate and spacious, honest and metaphoric, dynamic and sweaty, dirty and sexy…

The band’s sonic stew of gospel, garage, blues, rock, and even punk has created a buzz that’s leaving jaws open, rumps shakin’ and feet stompin’. With singer/songwriter Kristen Kreft (Pearlene/J. Dorsey Blues Revival) at the helm, the dynamic duo of Beth Harris (The Hiders/Pearlene) and Nicole Potter Borngrebe on backing vox, and the rhythm section inertia of drummer Adam Shelton (RX2/Kallip) and bass player Nic Powers (Static Falls/The Sweep), the vocal velocity of this frenetic force will etch an impression that will last. They are something to behold.

While the road, she calls Home, the Wonk hails from KY & her band, The Highlife, from Cincinnati. Despite where they call ‘home’, all members are vagabonds and misfits in their own regard.

The Wonk has been playing tunes ever since Miami band, The Curious Hair, deemed her the ‘Wonk’ of her high school project, The Wonky Donkeys after finding them on this thing called ‘Myspace.’

Wonky Tonk has played with folks like Langhorne Slim, Jessica Lea Mayfield and Billy Prine; in America, toured with a Danish Eukele band through Europe and now, sometimes solo, in a little van named Loretta.

In 2017 Wonky Tonk was joined by a bodacious group of musicians who require ‘practice juice’ to create sweet, sweet music. They are The Highlife and they are handsome and kick ass.
2018 is the Year of the Wonk.

aka Billy “The Bee” Hall is the primary songwriter and front man for the Covington KY based psychedelic rock collaborative known as Common Center. With equal ability to blend off kilter grooves with both heavieness and serene beauty, Liam Hall is one of the most versatile songwriters in the greater Cincinnati area, and will introduce a sound to your ears that you didn’t even know you were missing.
